Turkey - I bought a pre-smoked turkey, all I have to do is heat that sucker up.
Roasted Baby Red Potatoes - I coat a 13x9 baking dish with about 2 tbsp olive oil then place garlic and rosemary seasoned potatoes in the pan and bake for about 30 min at 425 degrees.
Garden Salad - It's salad, you toss the desired veggies in a bowl and have at it.
Sweet Potatoes - Brent has to have his sweet potatoes, so I am using fresh sweet potatoes instead of the canned ones. I will use spray butter, a little brown sugar, and of course a few marshmellows on top to jazz them up.
Corn - I just buy a steamable bag of frozen corn, done and done.
What are you planning for Thanksgiving?
Oh by the way I added new progress pics. Check them out here.
Until next time,
Amanda
The roasted red potatoes sound good. I'm not cooking this Thanksgiving, but I'm definitely going to try it for dinner one night!
ReplyDeleteElle they are a staple in my house. Add a salad and a chicken breast and you have a quick and easy dinner. Thanks for reading!
ReplyDeleteSounds great! We are picking up a ham from honeybaked ham and a small turkey pre-smoked turkey. My sister is making dressing, my husband is making gumbo and I'm making the sides. Ours won't be reduced fat but I'll be on the elliptical the next day!
ReplyDeleteSabrina, I have a running date with my little sister the morning of Thanksgiving and the Friday after just to be safe! Last year we did Gumbo instead of Turkey etc. and it was so delish! Thanks for reading and commenting!
DeleteProgress is look good!! My thanksgiving dinner will be nothing light except the salad. I was assigned to cook the baby red potatos (and I cook them the same way), mac & cheese, corn on the cob, banana pudding, caramel cake, and Milky Way cake. I'm so ready to eat and watch football with my family.

DeleteThis year is odd, we will be moving the day after Thanksgiving. So I won't be cooking. However, I did just make cookies and will do the sweet potato casserole. Otherwise, traveling to my moms and enjoying family.
ReplyDeleteWe just moved ourselves. I will say a prayer that your move goes smoothly. Thanks for reading!
